[TriLUG] Font encoding?

Group,

I have been working with a couple of different PHP PDF generators, and
have encountered this issue a few times, but managed to work around it
mostly.

The question that keeps bothering me is, how do you tell what the
encoding of a particular TTF file is?

Sometimes, these packages require that you tell it what the font "name"
and encoding are, even though I give it the exact path to the file.
