[TriLUG] [JOB] CentOS Updates

I am forwarding this on behalf of Bruce Howerton. He needs someone to
help maintain a Linux server at work. He has been attempting to email
the TriLUG list for help but his mailserver is identifying itself with
a non-existent host name, so that would need to be fixed as well.

Thank you so much Bill! I apologize for any inconvenience. The e-mail
service used in the CentOS software is Dovecot. I do not know how to alter
the configuration. I haven't had trouble receiving or sending e-mail to
other persons. Maybe if someone would help me with updates, they will be
kind enough to look into this issue.

This is the e-mail I sent out this morning that obviously hasn't reached
anyone:

"Good morning to All,

I am a Cent OS user in VMware fusion running on a Windows 2008 server.
Numerous updates are available for the Cent OS software and am wondering if
anyone would be available to apply the updates. This would be a nice side
job for someone knowledgeable in this area. I am located near Rex Hospital.

Hey Bruce,
It looks like your mail server is miss-configured. When it connects to our
mail server it identifies itself as mx.carolinaomfimaging.com but there is
no DNS record for that address. Your mail server should be sending you
failure notices after a few hours of trying to send the email.

  Host mx.carolinaomfimaging.com not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

So, we need to get someone to help you :-) Please send me your original
request for help and I will forward it to the mailing list for you.
