Thumbs up for Synergy. You can share a mouse and keyboard between two
or more computers.

VB should let you pass through the webcam directly to the guest vm, or
by passing through the USB webcam device. If it doesn't - that really
sucks.

What about installing Skype for Linux ? They have a Debian 7 Multiarch package.
