[TriLUG] Books that inspired us

Ah... lists of books, one of my favorite things.

*I Robot* - Isaac Asimov (and any of the laws of robotics short stories)
simple rules can lead to complex behaviors, logic is important.
*Have Spacesuit Will Travel* - Robert Heinlein (and any his juvenile
fiction) - a really interesting looks at physics, and how spacesuits might
work, keeping in mind that this was before spacesuits were a thing - he
wasn't completely wrong.
*Earth* - David Brin - A rollicking good story that is interestingly
prescient as to the ways that technology are involved in our lives today.
*Startide Rising* - David Brin - Even though your completely outnumbered
and nothing is working (outages anyone?) you can make a difference by doing
your damnedest. This whole series is worth a read.

As you can see as a kid, I read a lot of Scifi. This is just a skim off
the top that I can wedge into the topic - I've got more modern suggestions
if people are interested - though not on topic.
