I've used Hover.com in the past, their prices are reasonable and you can do what you want with the DNS settings...

Looking for a low-cost domain name registration site (like 1&1, GoDaddy, easyDNS, etc) - just for DNS registration.  I know I have seen this topic floating on Trilug before; looking for most recent advice.
