A word of caution about Wordpress...

Yes, it's a very mature platform. Yes, it's pretty straightforward to tweak and tune and to make it truly your blog.

Yes, if you run it yourself, you're going to need to really step up to make your blog secure and keep it that way. This is going to require more time and thoughtfulness than setting up the look & feel of the blog itself. Are you ready for that?
