Well my initial partitioning was going to start as follows(40GB drive)
/boot 100MB
/ 10GB
/home rest of drive
/swap 1024MB (machine has 512MB RAM)
I guess you are indicating I need to make a seperate /var partition? </pre>
</blockquote>
yes, you can use the / partition for this, again you need a general
idea of what email volumes you are expecting. With < 15 people I
would say a 5GB partition would be suitable then again I don't know
what you email volumes are gonna be.<br>

<pre wrap="">What
size would you suggest?</pre>

not real sure, depends on the volume of email you are predicting.
Email lives in /var until the user picks it up.<br>

<pre wrap=""> I also forgot to ask on which partition I would want
to create the directories to share? Or should these actually be their own
partitions?
</pre>

Samba lives on /home , so you would have a /home/samba/work directory
and a /home/samba/finance directory, by making directories instead of
partitions you could create a /home/samba/jj in the future. Some
people choose to partition but I let the system use the existing space.<br>
<br>
If you are not an avid Samba admin, I would strongly recommend using
SWAT. It is a great tool for beginners and even advanced users.
<pre wrap="">hope that helps
