TriLUG Install and Hack Day, will be kind of like an install fest, where members can meet to share ideas and skills. The theme for this hack day will be on running Linux (OpenWRT) on Wireless Routers. This topic keeps re-appearing on the TriLUG mailing list every few months, so why not get together and help each other do something fun.

The ballots went out, came back, and the results are in ... We have a new Steering Committee! Please make the two new members, Jeff Schornick and Jym Williams Zavada, feel welcome!

To help celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Triangle Linux Users Group, we are holding a commemorative t-shirt contest. To be included in the voting, shirt designs must include:

1) The phrase"Triangle Linux Users Group" or "TriLUG"
2) An indication of the 10th anniversary

To help everyone participate, we've created this template. Download at will. Get your friends involved. Don't worry about resolution for now. If your design is selected, we'll work with you to beef up the production version.

The Triangle Linux Users Group will be holding it's annual December Social on December 13 from 7-10pm at the DoubleTree RTP at 2515 Meridian Parkway, Durham, North Carolina. This special meeting is sponsored by Google.

Thanks everyone for your interest. The Linux 101 class for this Saturday, July 14, 2007, is officially full. We will let everyone know of the next class as soon as information is available.

Just a reminder - the Linux 101 class will be held at Raritan in Raleigh on July 14, 2007 from 9am to 12pm. As of this writing, the class is a little more than half full. This class is free, but space is limited so email Matt Frye mattfrye at gmail dot com to register or for more info.

Greg Dekoenigberg, Red Hat's Community Development Manager, will be speaking on the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project. OLPC is a laptop and accompanying software created expressly for the world's poorest children living in its most remote environments.
