Hello,

We have now mostly completed the setup of the TriLUG mirror server,
dargo.trilug.org. Access is by HTTP (requires member number) and
FTP (anonymous access available, but limited; login with member number for
full access). The CNAME for mirrors.trilug.org will be pointing to the
new server very soon.

I'm looking for maintainers who are willing to take a section of the
mirrors under their wing and do the following:
	* verify that the current mirrors are correct (ie, MD5s match etc)
	* fix the current mirrors if not correct; for example whoever
downloaded them currently did them in a way that reset the file mtime.
This should be fixed.
	* set up rsync or similar utility to keep updates up-to-date

Here are the general areas of the mirrors:
Red Hat -- need maintainer (Kevin do you still want to do this?)
	Mandrake -- Tanner Lovelace
	linux-kernel -- need maintainer
VA Linux -- need maintainer (if this needs maintainance; it
probably doesn't)
	Immunix -- need maintainer
CPAN -- doesn't exist yet -- Tanner Lovelace will add
other -- if you want to see something else mirrored, volunteer to
be a maintainer! :-)

Right now we are using about 33% of the 100-GB array, so we have plenty of
room for more stuff. However, I'd like each maintainer to monitor disk
space; as we start filling it up we'll need to decide which items are most
important.

If you'd like to be a maintainer, let me know and I'll add you to the
mirrors group on dargo. You'll need to get an LDAP/kerberos account if
you don't already have one; email Tanner for more information on this.
