[Linux-ham] USB cable no longer working to program CS-800

I'm not personally familiar with this radio (haven't gotten into DMR).
 However, I did consult the great oracle about this and maybe a fresh
set of eyes will help, or not.

I found a couple of links discussing updating the firmware, which looks
like it is needed unless your radio is Sept or newer (I assume it means
Sept 2016).  I also saw some comments about having trouble reading the
device meaning that it needs a new Windows driver / and or firmware.  

So with that being said, this is one area I might look into.
