|he believes it to be hard wired to use a specific IP address/range. I'm

|http://192.168.1.1 with a blank username and admin as password.

|confusing to xxxx users, let's take it out for this model".

Configuration options for the WRT54GS are very similar to the WRT54G
according to the user's guide for the WRT54GS
(ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pdf/wrt54gs_ug.pdf).  Specifically, page 17 of the UG
(page 24 in the pdf file) shows configuration options for the internal
router IP address and DHCP settings.
