FWIW, I contributed to the first and last of these; of the two, I think
I prefer the latter, as Mat's focus on English misses the point entirely
that there are already well-established non-English naming conventions
in use for mail servers and the like. (e.g., correo, poczta, to name a
couple). That said, Mat's is the much more detailed read WRT actually
suggesting standard ways to name hosts by purpose, especially if you're
already using English.
