New Hanover County is going through hiring constraints right now and have decided to on board a contract resource to augment their staff of tier 3 engineers. They are looking for someone with 3-5 years of systems and network support, possessing skills specifically related to: SCCM 2007, Active Directory 2008 (Windows server 2008), image creation, patch management and distribution experience. This person will not be doing user support, but will be hands on with internal, escalated issues on the OS and Network.  Starts out as a  6 month contract. 
 
Opportunity # 2:
Cary, NC
Troubleshoot website, network connectivity and system issues within SLA/escalation guidelines. Take inbound technical support inquiries via phone, e-mail, and voice-mail. Completely and accurately record all change execution updates in the ticketing system. Manage Server or Network monitoring station in the NOC during required times. Engineer will be the first point of contact for technical problem resolution. Escalate all non-technical customer issues to Service Managers. Assist new Customer Support employees with customer knowledge development. Execute all non-revenue based change and shared infrastructure change as required.

Additional Job Info:  
•2–4 years of Windows systems administration experience with Windows Server 2003 & 2008. •2-4 years of support MS IIS and/or experience in Internet Web Hosting. •2-4 years of installation, configuration and support of Windows Server operating systems. •Strong problem solving skills, to include logical problem solving using the OSI model Layer 1-7. •Excellent communication and customer service skills. •Exceptional documentation skills. •Ability to work well in a team environment. •Must be making progress toward appropriate Microsoft certification(s) such as MCTS or MCITP.

The Windows Administrator will be responsible for the support of a variety of Windows Server Technologies, including; patching (WSUS), Windows Clustering, Windows Server (2003/2008), and Active Directory. This person will be responsible for defining and following key processes and procedures for the Windows functional area.

The Windows Administrator will work directly with external customers to resolve critical infrastructure issues, perform installation and configuration of Windows related products, and provide quality assurance on customer installations.

Job Description: 
The candidate will be responsible for resolving client level issues related to the AF Reserve customers. The candidate will interface with the active duty communication squadron, reserve communication element, and HQ AFRC. The candidate will the responsible for the operation, administration, and security of servers and network devices. Candidate must have working experience with Microsoft Server 2003/2008, Microsoft XP/Vista, and CISCO Enterprise Network Devices. Candidate will build on key Microsoft technologies, such as Microsoft Windows SMS/SCCM, Windows Server Active Directory, and the Windows architecture to enhance network and system performance. The primary work will be performed M-F from 07:30am to 5pm but minimal after normal hours support is required. 
Additional Job Info:  
Bachelor's degree in an IT related discipline with 5 years of professional Systems Admin experience; OR 8 years of professional IT experience with 3 of the 8 years as a Systems Admin. Required Skills: - Minimum of three years experience with Microsoft Server 2003/2008 - Two years experience performing system administration on a network, printers, and servers in a network longer than 100 users - Two years of customer support/help desk experience using Microsoft Vista or Win7 operating systems - Fully experienced/qualified in using Active Directory to administer networks - Employee must obtain CompTiA Security+ certification with 3 months on job - Employee must have an interim Secret clearance prior to starting Desired Skills: - Microsoft certification - SIPRNET/Taclane experience - SMS / SCCM - Experience working DOD networks especially Air Force
