Volunteers are very much needed for the Geek-A-Thon August 19-21 to be
held
in RTP. The Kramden Institute, a 501c3 Charitable non-profit will be
refurbising between 150 and 200 computefrs those days. They need your
help.
Please volunteer to help by contacting info at kramden.org or call
919-638-6200, or see their website at www.kramden.org. Come spend one
or
more days of fun and community service.

we will feed the volunteers (9am-530pm) and there will be music and
unique
geek-a-thon tshirts.  We need all kinds of volunteers  -- to help
refurbish,
to clean off systems, admin and recordkeeping, food, etc.  We are also
looking for some parent/teen combinations especially on friday 8/19 to
work
together for the day.  And we are looking for 4-5 people to work about
5
hours on Thursday 8/18 and Mon 8/22 to help move the computers out of
storage on Thursday and to the school system on Monday.  Get a good
workout
those days.

This is a great cause!  Kramden will be expanding throughout the
Triangle
and there are thousands of needy middle school kids without computers.
So
please contact us and help.  We are short about 30 volunteers out of 60
...
it just feels good to do it.
