Job Description

A new professor in the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass
Communication is looking for a PHP/MySQL Web Applications Developer for the
Fall 2007-Spring 2008 academic school year.  The position is for 15 hours a
week, with salary ranging from $15-20 an hour commensurate with skills and
recommendations.  (Undergraduate and graduate students, welcome.) The
programmer will be able to work from home or computer lab at his/her
discretion. Hours are 14 programming (independent), and 1 hour weekly
meeting with professor. Position is open to renewal for future years.

Candidates must be dependable/reliable; must be detail oriented (good
documentation of code); must be results oriented; must be self-driven; and
able to set and meet deadlines.  An opportunity to grow and develop your
programming skills (and management skills) will be provided once basic needs
are met. Skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, C/C++, and capacity to
develop API applications are added advantages, but secondary.
