FT Salary Range: $70,011 - $92,414

This is a technical position in ITS Open Systems. The team is responsible for hardware, operating systems and associated services provided predominantly on the Linux platform. Open Systems has responsibility for ensuring critical, high-demand applications are available 24/7/365. This employee will be involved in building, monitoring and patching ITS Linux and Unix systems.

Desired experience:
    Red Hat Enterprise Systems operating system configuration and management environments
    Management of enterprise virtualization platforms (ie VSphere, Citrix XenServer, RHEV, etc) hosting Linux guests
    Puppet or similar automation software
    Scripting with perl, shell, python, ruby, etc.
 
Some after-hours work will be required, as position is also part of a 24-hour on-call rotation.
 
Enterprise level Linux system administration experience is required.
 
Preferred Qualifications:

    4+ years hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems Administration experience is preferred.
    Previous experience should show Enterprise-level systems support, best practices and methodologies, as well as the ability to analyze and solve operational problems and help develop integrated, creative solutions.
    Should be self-motivated, and work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
    Ability to understand customer requirements and to be able to communicate effectively with both the customer and other business units.
