So far I've not noticed any major discrepencies between running my 
scripts on my windows machine, or from the Linux server(s) where they 
will eventually live in production.

I've been using PyCharm and like it a lot.  I store my code in local 
directories that are also git repos associated with our local gitlab 
install.
