[TriLUG] Linux from scratch project?

Hmm... It's probably been 5 years since I've rolled a Gentoo box, but
personally I don't find Gentoo any more difficult than any other distro.
Just, perhaps, a little more time consuming.
I think Gentoo gives you more insight into the base system than most other
distros, but less than LFS.
I rolled Gentoo with the goal of a usable system, but I treated LFS like a
research project with the goal being increased comprehension through
building to a usable system.
I don't see any benefit in using LFS in a production system, but it is fun
to play with. :)
