[TriLUG] Tablet Recommendations

I consider the Surface (well Surface Pro) a great device. An x86 device in
that form factor is excellent. However I try to avoid Windows itself and
linux installs on the surface I have heard mixed success. I recently got
the Acer Chromebook R11 and it really replaces what I would use a surface
for. It is of course ChromeOS which is Gentoo based. I run Crouton on it
and have Ubuntu Trusty installed in the chroot with the kxstudio repos.
Also I can use arc welder and install some android apps as well. Plus the
convertible factor with linux drivers for the touch screen and I find it
makes for the cleanest yet least fuss touch screen linux experience in a
laptop convertible form factor one can get. I got the model from costco
which comes with 4gb ram and a 32gb SSD. It is my go to road warrior
device.
