The current setup required me to change the digest format, in order to see the messages with the addresses. Now I pull up a message in the digest and look at who it is from.

I raised objections to this policy when it was first implemented but was

told it had already been decided and that my input would not be considered.



As the list admin for linux-ham@ I did a little poking around.



The setting in Mailman to munge the From field says:

"If setting this to Yes, it is advised to set the MTA to DKIM sign all

emails."



TriLUG does not do this. In fact, your post still bears the DKIM

information for troubleshooters.com, which caused my spam filter to

raise the score (not enough to tag it thankfully) due to the mismatch.



There is another option in the configuration to wrap the original

poster's message as MIME message/rfc822. This does require opening the

nested message to reply to the right place. I'm not sure how desirable

this will be from a UX standpoint.



I have enabled this on linux-ham@ for a test. Will advise if I hear

about any undesired side effects.
