The list configuration has improved at least somewhat since I wrote
that. It is now setup so that the sender's address will at least be
preserved in the Reply-To: header so that it's at least *possible* to
reply only to the sender by removing other recipients from the reply.
But that might be non-obvious if a mail client shows only the name of
the recipient and hides the email address as many GUI clients will do.

Even before munging of the From field was enabled the list was
configured to set the Reply-To to the list, so that it would still be
very easy to mistakenly send to the entire list.

Setting up DKIM is on my to-do list, but I have no idea when I'll get
around to it.

Whether or not you need to open the nested message to reply to the right
place depends on which place is considered right. I doubt if being able
to reply to just the sender by using the nested message would help in
cases like this, it's still completely different actions than replying
to every other message.

Also, from reports there it seems that at least Thunderbird makes it
more difficult to quote the original message. Although in some ways that
could be an additional benefit, since it could help cut down on people
quoting the entire original message. But, again, that's requiring a
different set of actions than with most replies.
