Wouldn't you know, client wants to go check out a Cisco solution to replace
the ISP provided cable modem that couldn't keep up with demand so I purchase
a Cisco 1841 with the notion they'll buy it. The customer loved the router
but decided to keep my M0n0wall firewall and go with a Cisco 817 (a smaller
Cisco with a DOCSIS interface and a single Ethernet port).

This router is bona-fide bad-ass. It is currently running 12.4.T with
advanced security (I have a couple other images as well). If you can
believe it or not, it is currently configured as a layer 2 device (that
change is all of one line in the config: "no ip routing" and setting the
CableModem0/0/0 interface in a bridge group with FastEthernet0). I set it
up that way for testing.

The router cost about $1100.00 and it had two HWIC cards added: HWIC 4ESW
(quad ethernet card) and a HWIC-CABLE-D-2
